Free Online Calendar Editor: Manage Your Events in the Browser
Most people have their events spread across multiple apps: Google Calendar on one tab, Outlook open in another, a work CalDAV feed somewhere in between. Switching contexts just to check availability or add an event is friction you don't need.
WhenToMeet's built-in calendar editor brings all of your calendars together in the browser — so you can see what's on your schedule and manage it without opening a separate app.
What the Calendar Editor Does
Once you connect your calendar accounts, the /calendar page becomes a fully-featured event manager in the browser. Here's what you get:
Month view with all your events
A clean month grid shows your events from every connected source — Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, CalDAV servers, and iCal subscriptions — in one unified view. Days with events show a count at a glance, so you can see your schedule density without clicking around.
Create events from the browser
Hit + New Event (or click any day) to open the event editor. Fill in a title, pick a date, set a start and end time, and choose which calendar to save it to. No need to open Google Calendar or Outlook — the event goes straight to the source.
Edit and delete existing events
Click any event to see its details. From there you can edit the title, change the time, or delete it with a single confirmation. Changes sync back to your actual calendar immediately.
Day detail sidebar
Select any day and a sidebar opens on the right, listing every event for that day. It's the fastest way to review a packed day or find a free slot before booking a meeting.
Works with all your calendars
The calendar editor supports everything you've connected to WhenToMeet:
- Google Calendar — read and write events across all your Google accounts
- Microsoft Outlook — full support for personal and work Microsoft 365 calendars
- CalDAV — any standards-compliant CalDAV server (Fastmail, iCloud, Nextcloud, etc.)
- iCal subscriptions — read-only feeds from any
.icsURL
All events appear in one view regardless of source, so you never miss a conflict.
How to Get Started
- Connect a calendar — Go to Settings → Calendar Connections and add at least one calendar account.
- Open the Calendar page — Navigate to
/calendarin the app. Your events load automatically. - Create your first event — Click + New Event, fill in the details, and save. Done.
If you haven't connected a calendar yet, the page will guide you to the settings page to do so.
Why Manage Events Here Instead of Google or Outlook?
The short answer: context. When you're already in WhenToMeet — scheduling a group poll, checking availability, or setting up a booking page — you shouldn't need to jump to another tab to add the final meeting to your calendar. The calendar editor closes that loop.
It's also useful for anyone who has accounts on multiple platforms. Instead of opening two or three separate apps to get a full picture of your week, you see everything in one place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid plan to use the calendar editor?
You need an active calendar connection, which is available on paid plans. See our pricing for details.
Can I create events on any of my connected calendars?
Yes. When creating an event, you choose which calendar to save it to from a dropdown. All writable calendars you've connected appear as options.
What happens if I delete an event here?
The event is deleted from the underlying calendar (Google, Outlook, etc.) immediately. This action cannot be undone from WhenToMeet, so a confirmation dialog is shown before deletion.
Is the calendar editor available on mobile?
Yes. The calendar page works in the browser on mobile. You can also install WhenToMeet as a home screen app for a native-like experience — see Add to Home Screen.
